Prefab cabin BX10527
Prefabricated high voltage cabins for PSA Antwerp
Discover our latest high voltage substations built for PSA Antwerp. This project includes not one but two prefabricated electrical cabins, specially designed for transformer and distribution applications within the challenging industrial context of the Port of Antwerp. Each cabin is a model of safety, durability and well thought-out technical integration.

Technical floor and fire doors
The cabs have external dimensions of about 10.5 m x 3.0-2.7 m x 3.3-3.9 m, with a concrete basement of 1,000 mm height and a total weight of 61,400 kg (including 13,300 kg roof). Inside, the cabin is equipped with a raised technical floor type IV1260, with a maximum load of 20 kN/mÂČ. The anti-static modular floor panels, finished with Tarkett Nevada Plus vinyl in gray, are fire-resistant (F30) and supported by a galvanized steel structure.
In addition, several RC2-certified, EI60 fire-rated doors feature three-point locking, integrated panic bars, anodized vents and adjustable door stops. The doors are modular and finished in RAL 7035, which combines performance with a sleek appearance.
Ventilation, finishing and compartments
For safe air circulation without sacrificing fire safety, FBS-50 FernoBlock ventilation grilles are integrated. These close automatically at 160°C and are certified to EI-120, suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. The entire structure is equipped with HSI 150 cable entry systems, watertight embedded in the concrete basement. Roof and facade were given a finish in solid-colored RAL 7035 facade plaster, while one side facade received an additional yellow-black safety marking.
The cabin accommodates three separate compartments, each with a specific technical function. Each compartment has guarded access, combined with reinforced concrete walls, which ensures optimal security of the internal installations.
